The Solidarity Quilt, created by grandmothers across Canada with some material from Africa, was on display. The Quilt was made to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Stephen Lewis Foundation and it is truly amazing to behold. This was its first stop on the Island. After enjoying a delicious African dinner, guests listened to highly regarded keynote speaker, Dr. Kelly MacDonald, as she shared stories from her lengthy experience with AIDS in Africa. Guests had the opportunity to purchase surprise bags worth at least $25 and up to $75, for only $20 cash.
