Our Education Team offers a range of presentations and workshops suitable for schools, colleges, youth groups and community groups, ranging from a Zoom panelist, to a classroom activity or discussion, to a series of workshops, developed with the needs of the audience in mind. We are teachers, professors, and group leaders experienced in developing engaging activities to suit every age and interest.

School Presentations

Paper Beads. We teach students about grandmothers in Africa who care for grandchildren orphaned by AIDS. Selling paper bead necklaces provides income for many. In the course of one lesson, students make enough paper beads to string a necklace or bracelet to take home. Students experience compassion for others less fortunate, and learn about differences in families and cultures.
Sack Gardens. To provide nutritious food for the children in their care, grandmothers sometimes grow vegetables in sacks at their doorstep. Over several weeks, we help students fill and plant sacks, harvest and cook the vegetables and enjoy a bowl of soup together.
Customized Social Justice Topic or Zoom presentation or workshop. As retired teachers and skilled presenters, we are able to offer any presentation or workshop 'angle' that you request, and will work with you to make sure it suits your students.

Community Presentations

We offer Power Point and other presentations to organizations such as churches, Rotary, University Women, Kiwanis, Retired Nurses, Humanists, CUPE . Our speakers are experienced in delivery and passionate about the Campaign.
